ASuper Sneak cue is a dressed up Hit and Run sneaky Pete. There are only three differences. The Super Sneak has rings. The forearm is made of birds-eye maple. And, it costs a little more.
The rings on the handle are purely decorative, while the ring set at the joint provides for the single functional upgrade. With joint rings a player has the option of also breaking with his playing cue. Breaking with a playing cue is never recommended, but try breaking with a true sneaky Pete and you risk splitting the shaft.
Like the Hit and Run, Super Sneaks are 60" long, have a parabolic tapered shaft, 3/8-10 pins, but add phenolic joint collars and a wood-to-wood joint. The handles feature our specialty, the compound tapered handle with a resulting slim line grip.
Super Sneaks are also available in your choice of Bacote (about 18 oz.), Rosewood (16.5-18 oz.), Purple Heart (usually around 18 oz.), or Cocobolo (19-21 oz).
Like Tiffanies and Hit and Run, Super Sneaks boast solid exotic hardwoods with all wood grain and figuring authentic and original. No stains. No dyes. No paint. And, no decals. After ten bad years of abuse, or one forgettable Saturday night, you're just a simple sand-and-spray away from a "like-new" facelift.
One final word of candor, there is a world of difference between inexpensive and cheap. While both Hit and Run and Super Sneaks are "pocket book friendly", their playing qualities are uncompromisingly professional. The challenge is not for Super Sneaks to play as well as designer cues, but rather the other way around.
Mystick cues can make a more expensive cue, and we do with our Tiffany series, but we do not make a better hitting cue. Don't ever think that just because you saved a few dollars, you lessened your game. All the critical components that add up to how a cue plays are the same throughout the entire Mystick Cue product line. And, it all starts with our Hit and Run sneaky Pete.
Get past the marketing hype: If you can't see the difference and you can't feel the difference, there is NO difference!
